Welcome to Year 2

Over the year, the children will explore innovation and what makes human beings uniquely creative.

In the Autumn Term, the children will investigate change, making links to key historical events with a focus on the lives of people now and then. Running throughout this theme, the learners will consider how they can be inspired by individuals in the past to have the courage to lead change.

As we progress into spring, the children will learn about equality and diversity. Through the theme of creativity we will explore how to love ourselves and our environment. The children will think about the importance of mutual respect and how everyone is unique and special in their own way.

Children will end their year recognising their responsibilities as individuals and as a collective. They will reflect on how to live a healthy lifestyle and take care of God’s wonderful world.
